About Estee

Estee

Estee continues to seek training and consultation to enhance her effectiveness with clients. Estee has deepened her work with couples by achieving a Master Level certification in a cutting edge treatment specifically designed for couples. This transformative model developed by Terry Real, LCSW called Relational Life Therapy (RLT), and refers to all relationships be it with one's self, partners, within families, between parents and children, friends and colleagues. The impact of one's past experience on the present moment is intertwined with the events of the past and the response of those close to us. No place like intimate relationships can these deeper unresolved experiences emerge providing a powerful opportunity for compassionate repair.

Appreciating the complexity of healing trauma, and knowing what we remember is embodied somatically, emotionally and intellectually, Estee explored the treatment of trauma through several models, tailoring a path to repairing and releasing trauma to each client's individual history and needs. She has been certified in a developmental model of treating trauma designed by Pia Mellody through the The Meadows Treatment Center . Estee is certified in Attachment Focused EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) through the Laurel Parnell Institute another developmental, reparative and integrative approach to trauma treatment using imagery and bilateral stimulation. Through the Trauma Resource Institute , Estee completed training in the Trauma Resiliency Model, a somatic approach to calming down the nervous system and regulating body, mind and emotions.

Estee is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide direct and compassionate feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she partners with her clients to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Estee has been a clinical supervisor of Marriage and Family Therapist Associates (post masters pre-licensed therapists) in the process of licensure for many years. She currently has the pleasure to supervise and work collaboratively with Associates who share her passion for creatively helping clients achieve their treatment goals on their path to wellness.
